Oat protein is an appealing choice for plant-based applications due to its mild, neutral taste and light beige colour. Its mild, neutral flavour is less bitter, and astringent compared [1] to many other plant proteins, allowing it to blend seamlessly into a wide range of formulations without overpowering other flavours. Its consistent quality across batches makes it a reliable option for product development. 

Many plant proteins exhibit darker or red-yellow-brown tones, which can be especially challenging for use in dairy alternatives or achieving natural meat-like colors in plant-based meat products [1]. In contrast to other oat proteins, Lantmännen’s PrOatein is a light beige colour, making it a great choice for various applications, including plant-based dairy and meat alternatives.
