Our production facility in Kimstad, just outside Norrköping, is a hub of innovation and efficiency.

Lantmännen is committed to exploring the potential of oats and therefore bought the production facility in Kimstad in 2019. Here we operate an oat milling plant with a capacity of 55,000 tons. These facilities enable the production of oat-based food ingredients. PromOat oat beta-glucan, a water-soluble fiber known for its ability to lower cholesterol levels, is one of our main products. We also produce PrOatein oat protein, an important raw material for the food industry, and Avenacare, advanced ingredients for cosmetic products.

Our commitment to research and innovation in the oat industry has made us a leader in the Nordic region. With advanced research and mapping of the oat genome, we are constantly expanding our knowledge and creating new opportunities for the future. Furthermore, our commitment to sustainability is evident in our efforts to use residual products from the oat process, such as oat husks, for energy and heating in nearby areas.
